Neet2eet.com has been set up to help young people in the London area find the opportunities they want.

We help young people currently not in education, employment and training (NEETS); find Jobs and Apprenticeships in order to get ahead in their early careers. Neet2eet.com also strives to prevent school, college and university leavers from becoming (NEETS). We work with a number of training providers in and around London to provide a variety of paid and unpaid Apprenticeships that will help you get to where you want to be.

What is an Apprenticeship?

If you enrol on an Apprenticeship as an apprentice you will earn a wage whilst also working alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Usually one day a week, apprenticeships will receive training to work towards a nationally recognised qualification. Apprenticeships can take between one and four years to complete depending on the level of Apprenticeship, your ability and the industry sector.

Who are Apprenticeships for?

If you live in England, are over 16 years old and not in full-time education or employment you can apply. Apprenticeships are available to anyone over the age of 16 years old, whether you are leaving school, thinking of starting new career, this may be the option for you.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirement will vary depending on the Apprenticeship and the industry sector, but competition for places with employers can be very fierce, so you will need to show that you are committed and aware of your responsibilities to both yourself and the company who employ you. You also need to be a good team player, be happy to work alone and use your own initiative.

Training

Apprenticeships are designed with the help of employers in the industry and they offer structured programme that takes you through the skills you need to succeed in your job. As an Apprentice you will be in employment for most of your time as most training takes place on the job. The rest of your time will be spent at a local college or a specialist training organisation. The amount of time spent varies according to your apprenticeship and could be anything from one day every fortnight to two days every week. So all the things you study will be useful in your job and help you succeed in your future career.
